HIS PERSPECTIVE

BY LARA SAUNDERS (RECEPTION)

Some of you may not know that, in addition to my role as the receptionist here at BHCS, I’m also a photographer.

Depending on the photoshoot, I often switch between different lenses.

This got me thinking about the lenses through which we view our own lives and circumstances. A fresh lens is clear and in focus, but over time, it can develop smudges or scratches, leading to blind spots, blurriness, or a clouded perspective.

Challenges or circumstances can sometimes change how we see our own lives, maybe life is not how we envisioned or what we expected, but our perspective is not God's perspective.

No matter what season you’re in or how life may look right now, my encouragement to you today comes from Psalm 145:18-19 (NIV):

“The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them.”

This verse shows how God sees us, much like how a photographer’s lens is focused on a subject. God's attention is always on us, watching over us with care. He is never distant or distracted but always fully focused on us. He loves you!
