Clayfield College Makes Waves at the QGSSSA Swimming Championships

Clayfield College’s 83-strong swim team hit the water at the 2025 QGSSSA Swimming Championships with one goal - Rise to the occasion, race with intent, and put your training into action. With a focus on personal bests, sharp starts, seamless turns, and relentless finishes, the team delivered in style, producing 42 personal bests in the freestyle individual and relay events alone.

The challenge was large. The team was asked to lift, and they did just that. The team climbed the QGSSSA rankings, finishing eighth overall in the prestigious Mollie Gould Cup, an impressive leap from ninth in 2024.

But this campaign wasn’t just about the swimmers in the pool. The energy from the stands was electric, led by an army of supporters waving green gold, blue pom-poms and rallying behind the team with deafening cheers. A reimagined Clayton the Croc – looking sharp - led the Croc Squad and a sea of spectators, transforming the grandstand into a wall of unstoppable Clayfield spirit. Every stroke, every finish, every moment was met with thunderous cheers and unwavering support, fuelling the team to race with even greater fire.

Standout Performances
