Year 12 Drama Project: Exploring Stories Through Theatre

Year 12 Drama students are crafting performances that explore personal stories and significant social issues. Each student selects a theme; resilience, social justice, mental health, or identity, to challenge, inform, or celebrate human experiences. Using a non-linear narrative, students employ flashbacks, monologues, and striking imagery to create depth. Their performances incorporate poetry, movement, parables, and media interjections to enhance dramatic meaning. These artistic elements add layers of emotion and social commentary. The project encourages students to experiment with storytelling as a powerful tool for change.

A Night at Opera Queensland

Several of our music staff had the privilege of attending the opening night of Opera Queensland’s production of La Cenerentola (Cinderella) by Rossini on Tuesday 4 March.

The production was a visual and musical masterpiece, with stunning costumes and breathtaking performances. We are proud of our partnership with Opera Queensland and look forward to exciting collaborations throughout the year.
