Sports Day

Sports Day is always an exciting event, filled with energy, friendly competition, and plenty of laughter. It’s a day when students of all ages come together to showcase their athletic skills and support their friends, no matter the outcome. From classic races like the 100 metre sprint, students v staff v parents, and sack races, everyone gets a chance to shine. Teachers and parents cheer from the sidelines, adding to the festive atmosphere. Whether you’re racing to win or just participating for the fun of it, sports day is all about teamwork, school spirit, and creating memories that last a lifetime.

We look forward to seeing you at our Sports Day tomorrow to enjoy the children's experiences, good coffee, and the official opening of our refurbished courts.

Walk My Way

The Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS) is hosting a fundraising event in North Adelaide on Saturday, 3rd May. This event aims to support ALWS’s efforts to provide humanitarian aid and sustainable development to communities in need around the world.  The fundraiser will offer a great opportunity to connect with others in the community while making a meaningful difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

Our Golden Grove Lutheran School and Church are entering a combined team in the walk a  thon again this year, and families who are intersted can join at https://adelaide.alws75.org.au/page/GoldenGroveLutheranComm45138671

Mark your calendars for this heartwarming event that promises both fun and compassion!

Eisugakkan

Year 5 students from Eisugakkan School, our sister school in Japan, will be visiting Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th July. During their stay, the students will have the opportunity to experience Australian culture and connect with our students. On Saturday 26th July, the school is seeking  homestay families to host the visiting students, providing them with a unique and memorable experience. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to engage in cultural exchange and offer a warm welcome to these young visitors. If you're interested in hosting, please contact Mrs Melissa Bishop, our Teacher of Japanese via email - bishop.melissa@goldengrove.sa.edu.au

Thank you to all the parents who have taken the time to complete the surveys related to evaluation. This week, we release the final survey and it relates to learning. It is the longest survey and the opinions sought are related to how our students learn. Our highest response to our surveys has been 20. Can we finish off well, with the most respondents for this survey?

In the evaluation process that we are undertaking, we have some critical dates:

  • Our first upload of documents was on February 15th. These have now been responded to and we have some more work to do with some of these documents.
  • The parent surveys and conversations will be bought together in our self-study document. In the self-study, we have considered staff, parents, student and School Board responses to the standards and practices and rated ourselves against each. This will be all pulled together in the coming weeks.
  • The self-study will be completed and uploaded in the first week in Term 2.
  • The team of 2 evaluators will be visiting the school from August 6th – 8th in Term 3.

Please take the time to complete this final survey via the QR code or

Thank you again for your support for the evaluation process which will help us to continue strengthening our Primary Years Programme at GGLPS.
