CLEVER CLASS

This week in Kinder we have been learning about our emotions through the book The Colour Monster by Anna Llenas. This engaging story follows a monster who experiences a range of emotions, each represented by a different colour. The book beautifully teaches children how to recognise and express their feelings in a creative and playful way.

After reading the story, Kinder had a chance to paint their very own Colour Monsters, choosing colours that represented the different feelings they had. Students then worked together to create a class collage of our very own Colour Monster!

This activity strongly aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), this activity aimed to foster the children's sense of identity, emotional literacy, and their ability to engage in positive interactions with others. The EYLF emphasises the importance of supporting children to recognise and understand their emotions.
