3/4B

Mr Brendan

Assembly

Last Thursday 3/4B presented some of their Term 1 Inquiry work to the school. For our Unit: The Game of Life, we presented our work on Core values, Responsible Risks and our HERO posters. Some of the students were rightly nervous and a little anxious about speaking in front of the whole school, but to their credit everyone showed courage to get up there and give it a go! We look forward to being given another opportunity later in the year to share our learning.

Circle Time

Most mornings 3/4B gather in a circle to begin our day. There are many reasons why we do this. When we gather we follow the same routine: Morning Greeting, Class Values, Daily Expectations, Announcements / News headlines, Positive Primer and What Went Well (usually done during the end of the day circle or reflecting on the day before).

Last week our focus class values were compassion, courage and cooperation

The students also love the Positive Primer, which is normally a short game like rock, paper, scissors or thumb war to energise our morning and gets us going.

It's always great to hear exciting announcements, birthdays and upcoming holidays when we make our Announcements.

Our Morning Circle or Afternoon Circle is a great way to start and end our day.

Home Learning - is coming!

Home learning is a chance to practise and consolidate skills and concepts learnt in the classroom. It will contain tasks for Reading, Writing (inc. Oral Language) and Maths. There will be opportunities through the year to complete tasks for Education in Faith and Inquiry also. These will be on a needs basis. Please keep an eye out for Home Learning tasks coming home in Week 8 or 9.

Class Mass

Both Year 3/4 classes will be attending Mass on Tuesday 25th March @ 9:15am. The 25th of March is the Feast of the Annunciation. We welcome all parents, grandparents and families to come along to pray and celebrate with us.

Happy Birthday

A big Happy Birthday to Cavalli T who celebrated his birthday on Labour day.  No more birthdays until April!

Kind regards,

Mr Brendan, Ms Kim and Ms Sue.
