Family Picnic - by Spencer

Last week we had the Family Picnic. We had a dunking machine, jumping castle and tattoos. I got to dunk Mr. Will, and I tried to dunk Ms. Lisa but I missed. The bakery cake stall made over $300! Some other things were origami earrings for sale, spicy sauce you could try, Zoopers Doopers, and the Cooking Club made sausage rolls. My favourite thing was playing with my friends, like Nixon and Anthony.

Fun Fit (Dancefit Edition) - by William

In FunFit at the moment we are doing a lot of stretching and we are moving our bodies in ways they don't usually move in! There are a lot of songs that go with what we're doing. One song we danced to last week, for example, was The Rat Dance. We learned moves that needed a lot of balance! I think my favourite part was probably balancing with Aiden, that was a lot of fun.

Celebrating the Beginning of Lent - by Olive

Last week, we had pancakes to celebrate Shrove Tuesday. Shrove Tuesday is celebrated just before Lent because a lot of people fast for 40 days. On the pancakes we could have Nutella, butter, jam, or maple syrup. They were very delicious! We also attended Mass for Ash Wednesday. We got the Sign of the Cross on our forehead using ashes made of palm leaves from Palm Sunday.

Almsgiving - By Ms. Lisa

This year, rather than raising money for Project Compassion, SFX Primary School has decided to turn our Lenten Almsgiving efforts towards those in need a little closer to home. We are raising money for Community Support Frankston, an incredible organisation that helps to provide food, groceries, bill support and housing to those in dire circumstances in our local community. Our donation box stands ready on our prayer table, and all monetary donations throughout this giving season will be gratefully received.
