"When families join our College, they become part of something far greater than a school. Schools do not replace families; we walk beside them. Education is a partnership, and together we guide young women as they grow in wisdom, resilience and compassion. We are grounded in faith, shaped by the Brigidine tradition and strengthened by the relationships we build every day. Visitors often speak about the warmth they feel when they arrive here. That warmth comes from the way our students support one another, the way our teachers truly know their girls, and the way our families partner with us in trust and commitment."
Excerpt from my Open Day speech to prospective parents & students
I included this excerpt as a reminder that achieving the best possible outcome involves teamwork, with your daughter at the centre of every conversation. All decisions are made in their best interests and I truly believe this is a wonderful part of our community.
Recently, there have been instances where students have not followed the best path of action. While these moments are challenging, they are opportunities to build resilience that will be advantageous as they venture through life. Clear communication and commitment to listening to all sides ensures a positive learning experience. This applies to all aspects of school life, including attendance, uniform, and homework.
Open Day on February 25th was a resounding success and our College was shown in its best light. The feedback from visiting parents and carers was astounding; their positive impressions of our community perfectly reflect the sentiments in the speech excerpt above.

We also celebrated International Women’s Day with a wonderful assembly. Our guest speaker, Barbra Parker, mother of Year 12 student Claire Godward, delivered a powerful speech on taking opportunities and living life to the fullest. Additionally, I had the pleasure of taking four of our student leaders and Ms. McWhirter to a lunch featuring Jacinda Ardern. Her words on leadership, empathy, and strength spoke volumes to our young leaders who shared their reflections glowingly at our assembly.

Sydney Catholic Schools Inquiry and Review
The College will undergo an Inquiry and Review process on March 31st and April 1st. Led by Sydney Catholic Schools, this process helps formulate our Strategic Plan for the next four years. It involves reviewing our progress over the last four years to ensure we continue to improve.
From this Strategic Plan, we develop our Annual Improvement Plan. I would like to thank all staff, especially the Leadership Team, for their hard work in preparing the documentation. While our academic results speak for themselves, we pride ourselves on measuring success not just through numbers, but through character and values.
Our staff have been working together to analyse data to better understand every learner in our classrooms. Through our Pastoral Wellbeing program, students have finalised their PIVOT data. This feedback has been used to set individual goals for the remainder of the year, and we will continue to revisit these milestones each term.

Enrolments for Year 7 2028
The enrolment period for Year 7 2028 closes on March 27th. To be considered, please ensure all applications are submitted by this date; late applications run the risk of missing a place. If you know families considering our College, please remind them of this deadline. Interviews will take place through the end of May, with offers sent out towards the end of Term 2 by Sydney Catholic Schools.
Extra Curricular Achievements
Our students continue to excel in sporting and co-curricular pursuits. Congratulations to our athletes for their outstanding recent results and we wish the best of luck to our Touch Football, Basketball and Water Polo players participating in semifinals this week.
A special mention goes to our Swimming Team, who secured four age championships and broke six records, which is an incredible achievement! We wish them the best of luck for the Sydney Finals on March 23rd.
Our Year 10 and 12 musicians also delivered exceptional performances at the recent Music Recital. Finally, congratulations to our Public Speaking competitors. While we did not reach the finals of this highly contested competition, every student gave their best and should be proud of their efforts.
Key Dates & Reminders
Thank you for your continued support in making our school a place of excellence, community and faith.
To our staff: Thank you for your commitment and for providing quality feedback to our students during an extremely busy term.
As we head toward the Easter holidays, I hope the break brings rest, renewal and peace.
May we return next term ready to live out the legacy of St. Brigid with courage, compassion and strength. The season of Lent has allowed us to reflect on our choices and how we care for others. Our student leaders have shown true College spirit through their social justice fundraising, staying true to our call to Be BRAVE, Be Brilliant and Be Brigidine.
Happy and Holy Easter to you all.
God bless,
Adrian Eussen

Dear Brigidine Community,
The BCR Ex-Students Association would like to invite any ex-students to our Annual Reunion Afternoon Tea to be held at the College on 3 May at 1:30pm. Alumni from all years catch up with peers, share some stories, and tour the school (assembling at 11:45am). To contact a wider range of ex-students, please share the following to any ex-students of the College you may know. The day is more fun if you gather a few from your class. For enquiries, please phone Tracey: 0414 589 266. We also have a new Facebook group, search "Brigidine Randwick Ex-Students Community". All information for the Afternoon Tea will be posted to this group.
