Harmony Day 2026
Embracing Diversity with a Splash of Orange
A reminder to all families that CEPS Harmony Day 2026 will be celebrated on Thursday 19 March. This year, we are inviting our students to wear a 'splash' of orange with their school uniform, symbolising unity, respect, and diversity.
Harmony Day presents an opportunity for us to come together as a school community and celebrate the tapestry of cultures, backgrounds, and experiences that make us unique. It is a day to recognise and appreciate the diverse perspectives, traditions, and languages that enrich our learning environment.
Thank you for your ongoing support in nurturing a culture of diversity, acceptance, and unity within our school community. I believe that despite the current global circumstances, together, we can create a brighter and more inclusive future for all our families and students.
Division Swimming
Congratulations to Anaya M, Alisha N, Leo G and Lyla M for progressing through to the Division Swimming Carnival. All students proudly represented themselves and our school. A special congratulations to Alisha, who has now progressed to the Southern Region Swimming Championships after her win at the Division Swimming Carnival. We wish her the very best as she competes to advance to the State Championships.
NAPLAN
Congratulations to our Year 3 and 5 students for their efforts during the first week of NAPLAN. In particular, our Year 5 students, who successfully navigated technical issues within the platform on Day 1. This week marked an important milestone as they completed the Writing and Reading assessments with determination and focus.
As we move forward into the next phase of NAPLAN assessments, our students will engage in the Conventions of Language and Mathematics assessments next week. We are confident that they will approach these challenges with the same level of enthusiasm and confidence that they have shown thus far.
Buildings and Grounds
Some exciting improvements have been happening in our playground! Last week, new basketball backboards and rings were installed, giving students a fresh and improved space to enjoy shooting hoops during recess and lunch. Our sandpits have also been refilled, providing students with a refreshed and safe space for creative play and exploration.
More upgrades are on the way. In the coming weeks, we will be installing new netball rings. We are also currently organising protective padding for the football goal posts, along with new padding for the basketball posts, to help improve safety for students using these areas.
A huge thank you to our amazing Parents Committee. Their ongoing fundraising efforts have made these playground improvements possible and continue to support the enhancement of our school environment for all students.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mr Ridgway
