Asthma

Now is the perfect time to make sure your child's asthma management is up to date. One key part of that is using their preventer medicine regularly.
At school, kids can be exposed to colds and viruses, which can trigger asthma flare-ups. By sticking to their preventer routine, kids can reduce the chance of these flare-ups, so they can focus on learning, playing, and enjoying their day.
Preventer medicines work quietly in the background to reduce inflammation and help airways stay less sensitive to triggers like dust, exercise, and colds. They don’t provide quick relief, but they help prevent symptoms like a tight chest or shortness of breath before they happen.
It’s really important that your child takes their preventer exactly as prescribed. This is something you can help make sure they do each day at home, to protect them while they're at school—kind of like wearing sunscreen, but for their lungs!
Thanks for helping your child stay healthy and ready to enjoy all the fun and learning ahead!
