Reporting on Student Growth & Achievement in 2025

n 2025, we will be implementing improvements to our assessment and reporting processes grounded in evidence based best practice and community feedback. Diamond Valley College will adopt the Victorian Curriculum Achievement Standards to report on student achievement. This approach encourages students to focus on their learning progress and growth, helping them understand their next steps more clearly. Emphasising growth over grades supports students in striving for their best and maximising their learning potential.

Families will receive regular feedback reflecting on students’ Attitudes to Learning and Classroom Behaviours through progress reports completed on a 6 – 7 week cycle and also included in their Semester report summary.

Measures of Success – Attitudes to Learning

Assessment rubrics, teacher comments and achievement standards demonstrated, offer valuable insights into both academic performance and personal development and we encourage you to read them in partnership with your child to reflect on their learning journey throughout the semester.
