Reminders!

  • Parking: It has been mentioned recently to the club by Maroondah Leisure, that some of our parents are driving too fast in the car park at AM drop off time. Some mornings there are up to 40 swimmers walking through the carpark to the side door. We ask parents to please slow down and drive safely in and around the Aquanation carpark.

  • AM Side door: RSC has an agreement with Maroondah Leisure that our coaches can access the side door entry with swimmers before the pool opens to the public. Our coaches are only allowed to open the side door at the start time of training (5.15am, 5.30am, or 6.45am on Saturdays) Once that time passes, no swimmer is allowed late entry to the side door, and they must wait until the pool opens. Parents are also not permitted to enter the side door with the swimmers and must wait until the pool opens and enter through the front entrance. This is a privilege given to our club, so we ask parents to please follow these rules, so we don't lose access to the side door. **This rule also applies to any morning sessions at CMP

A few reminders:

  • You can find information on upcoming events and targeted meets in the pages - 'Upcoming Club Events' as well as the squad pages. If your swimmer is in Novice, Blue, Bronze, Silver or Gold - click on the 'Junior Squads Info' page. If your swimmer is in Platinum, Platinum Junior Talent, State Target, Junior State, State Performance, National Target or National squad - click on Competitive and Performance Squads Info'
  • Please be sure to label your swimmer's equipment with their name (use a white marker!). The equipment all looks the same when the swimmers pick it up at the end of a session and we have many swimmers who pick up someone else's fins/kickboard/pull buoy, etc. It can be difficult to even realize your swimmer may have picked up the wrong equipment. Please label your gear to make it easier to identify.
  • Please talk to your swimmer about keeping our clubroom tidy. Gear bags should be placed in the cubbyholes and any borrowed equipment should be put away neatly. Please be sure to put all rubbish in the bin.
  • Be sure that Operoo emails are not going to your junk mail. All communication from the club comes via Operoo so please be sure to keep an eye on your emails so you know what's happening with your swimmer's training.
  • If your swimmer is under 10 years, you must stay in the pool area during training. If your swimmer is 11-12 years, you must accompany them inside the facility and come in to collect them after their training, but you don't need to stay while they are training.
