Blue & Gold Concert 2025

All members of the Marist College Ashgrove community are invited to be a part of the 2025 Blue & Gold Concert, which will be held on the evening of Thursday, March 13, in the Marist College Ashgrove Draney Theatre. The concert will feature a variety of performances by current students, as well as several large-scale works that include both students and members of the College Community. These community performances will be presented by the following ensembles:

  • Wind Orchestra 1 (Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion)
  • Symphony Orchestra and Chorus (Strings, Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, male and female voices)

Details for the event are as follows:

 

Date of Concert: Thursday, March 13

  • Wind Orchestra 1 Rehearsal: 4:00pm–4:50pm, Draney and Experimental Theatres and Music Centre
  • Symphony Orchestra and Combined Chorus Rehearsal: 5:00pm–6:00pm, Draney Theatre
  • Dinner (Half Pizza and Drink Supplied): 6:00pm–6:30pm, Draney Theatre Forecourt
  • Concert: 7:00pm–8:15pm, Draney Theatre

The community items will feature the following works:

 

Wind Orchestra 1

  • The Mandalorian by Ludwig Göransson• The Country Club Stomp by JaRod Hall

Symphony Orchestra & Combined Choir

  • Warrior Legacy – Composed by Soon Hee Newbold
  • Eagles Among Us by Brian Balmages
  • Ancient Words with Amazing Grace (with chorus) – Words and Music by Lynn DeShazo, Arranged by Phillip Keveren

The concert will be streamed to the Green Room for all participating musicians, so there is no need to purchase a ticket. We also invite you to stay after the concert for drinks and finger food in the Draney Theatre Foyer. The uniform for the event will be "all blacks."
