SIT20316 Hospitality RSG and RSA Courses

The Technology Department has been actively engaged in coordinating accreditations for the SIT20316 Certificate II in Hospitality. These efforts are essential in ensuring our students are well-prepared for their future careers in the hospitality industry.

On Sunday 12 February, the Year 12 Hospitality students participated in a comprehensive full-day course on the Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG). This qualification is increasingly vital for employment in various establishments that feature TAB facilities, ensuring that our students are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage gambling services responsibly.

The following day, Year 11 Hospitality students underwent the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course. This training marked the completion of external qualifications delivered by CTA Training as part of their SIT20316 Certificate II in Hospitality Qualification. The course covered essential topics such as legal requirements, customer service and strategies for managing difficult situations. The presenters commended the exemplary behaviour and attentiveness of our students during the course, highlighting their dedication and professionalism.

Stay tuned for more updates on the exciting projects and initiatives undertaken by our Technology Department throughout the year!
