Honouring Our Heroes: 3/4 Students Create ANZAC Day Wreaths

In the lead-up to ANZAC Day, the Year 3/4 students at Donvale Primary School spent time learning about the importance of this national day of remembrance. Through stories, discussions, and historical insights, students developed a deep appreciation for the courage and sacrifice of the ANZACs.

To show their respect, each student carefully crafted bright red poppies – the symbol of remembrance. These individual poppies were then combined to create a beautiful wreath, now proudly displayed in each of the 3/4 classrooms.

This hands-on project gave students the chance to reflect on the meaning of ANZAC Day and to contribute to a shared tribute that honours those who served and continue to serve our country.

Lest we forget. 🌺
