Welcome Back to Term 2!

We are thrilled to welcome our students back and have enjoyed hearing all about their holiday adventures. Term 2 promises to be an exciting and productive time, filled with a range of engaging activities and events. Highlights include the Cross Country, Education Week, Gymnastics for Years 3–6, and various excursions—just to name a few!

Towards the end of term you will receive your child's mid year report and will have an opportunity to meet with your child's classroom for a parent -teacher interview.

Please keep an eye out for further information about these upcoming events.

ANZAC Day

On Tuesday, 29th April, our school captains and I had the honour of attending an ANZAC Memorial Service hosted by Rotary. This meaningful event provided a valuable opportunity for us to commemorate the sacrifices of Australian and New Zealand service members, reflect on the significance of their contributions, and pay our respects to those who have served and died in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping missions.

Our school captains represented our school with great pride and respect, laying a wreath on behalf of our school community. It was a moving experience and a reminder of the importance of remembering our history and those who have given so much for our country.

Election Day BBQ

This Saturday 3rd May is the Federal Election and our school is a polling station.  This is a wonderful opportunity to bring our school community together, raise funds, and provide a delicious sausage sizzle and cake stall for voters coming through the polling station.

Our BBQ will be running from 8:00am to 3:00pm, offering sausages in bread, cold drinks, and baked goods. We warmly invite families to come along, support the school, and enjoy a friendly atmosphere while casting their vote.

We are also seeking volunteers to help with cooking, serving, and setting up. If you are able to assist for an hour or two, please sign up on Signup Zone https://signup.zone/sLvwxb5zTStQ8n5Ra  - we’d love your support!

All proceeds from the day will go towards school resources. Thank you in advance for your participation and generosity!

Ramping works

Thank you all for your continued patience and understanding as we work through the ramping project. As is often the case with renovations and upgrades, the timeline and budget have extended beyond our initial expectations due to a number of unforeseen issues. The good news is that most of these challenges have now been addressed.

We are currently waiting on the delivery and installation of custom-made handrails, final drainage work, and fencing to ensure the area is safe and fully compliant.

Once all safety measures are in place, we will reopen the junior side for student and family access. I will continue to keep you informed through Compass and our newsletter, Snippets.

Thank you again for your support.
