Science Talent Search and Maths Talent Quest – Expressions of Interest Extended!
The Science Talent Search and Maths Talent Quest are now open to students from Foundation to Year Six who are interested in taking part, with expressions of interest for both competitions extended until this Sunday 18th May.
Science Talent Search (STS)
This is a statewide competition that encourages students to think like scientists. They can choose from a range of project types - like doing an experiment, making a model, creating an invention, writing a science story, or designing a multimedia presentation. It’s all about exploring scientific ideas and showing creativity while learning more about the world.
Maths Talent Quest (MTQ):
This competition focuses on real-world maths. Students pick a topic or problem that interests them and use mathematics to investigate it. They present their findings in a project that shows their thinking and problem-solving process. It’s a great way for students to see how maths applies to everyday life in meaningful and creative ways.
If your child is interested in participating in either (or both!) of these exciting enrichment opportunities, please complete the Google Form linked below. I’ll be in touch soon with the next steps.
