Welcome back to Term 2 at St Mary’s College. We hope you enjoyed a restful and rejuvenating break and are returning with renewed energy and enthusiasm for the term ahead. This term is already off to a fantastic start, with our community coming together to celebrate some very special events. This morning’s Mother’s Day Breakfast was a huge success, recognising and thanking the wonderful mothers, grandmothers and carers who play such an important role in our students' lives. It was a joy to welcome so many families to share in this beautiful occasion.
Our annual Cross Country Carnival was another highlight, with students showing great spirit, perseverance and sportsmanship. The energy and encouragement on the day were a true reflection of our College values. Congratulations to all who participated and supported one another.
As we move through the term, there are many more opportunities for students to engage, grow and celebrate their learning and community. Let’s continue to approach each day with gratitude and commitment and make Term 2 one to remember.
Before school arrival and duty of care
A reminder to all families that student safety and supervision are a priority at St Mary’s College. The school day officially begins when the Student Resource Centre opens at 7.30am. Therefore, students should not arrive at school before 7.30 am, as staff supervision is not available.
If your child needs to be on the College grounds earlier than 7.30am, they must be enrolled in our Before School Care Program, which provides a safe and structured environment for early arrivals. This ensures that all students are supervised appropriately and supports our duty of care to your children.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students. If you have any questions about before school arrangements or care options, please contact the College office.
