The Year 8 Team would like to welcome the Year 8 learning community to Term 2! Term 2 has already been a busy one with several school sports going out, school photos, and new topics in the classrooms.

This term, Year 8's will undertake the Attitudes to School Survey, begin the Live4Life Program, and prepare for Camp that heads during week two of Term 3.

Phillip Island Camp

Consent for Camp will be live on Compass soon. This year, students will be embarking on a new camp experience for Year 8 students at Phillip Island Adventure Resort, between the Monday 28th and Wednesday 30th of July.

Whilst we have elected to run a three-day camp in response to the ever-rising cost of living, it looks like it will be jam-packed with fun activities both at the camp and on the island on departure and arrival. The cost of the camp is $465, which is significantly cheaper than previous camps run in Year 8. Payment plans, CSEF, and School Saving Bonus can be used to pay for this camp. The consent and payment are due early July. Students will soon begin choosing activity and cabin groups as part of the broader camp preparation.

Around the Classrooms

As mentioned, students have begun new topics for the new term, and it has been great to see students’ resilience, work ethic, and engagement in their learning so far this term. Below are some amazing pieces of Year 8 artwork.
