Principals Message

Good afternoon everyone.
I wish to thank the students who attended ANZAC day services last Friday.
It has been a busy couple of weeks for our 5/6 students. They attended camp, had a cross country run at Mary MacKillop College and headed off to Foster for winter sport last week. Camp was another success with much fun had by all. The children were very well behaved and fitted a lot into 3 days. Some of the activities enjoyed were: ice skating (a favourite with the children), MCG tour, visit to Parliment House, Melbourne Skydeck, Shrine and more.
It was such a lovely morning for the Cross Country run for students in grades 3 - 6 on Friday 2nd May which was held at Mary MacKillop College. I was so impressed with the students for giving it 'their best shot'. Some ran, some walked, some did both. It was challenging for some students with running being out of their comfort zones but still turned up and had a go. As always, we are grateful for the use of the grounds at Mary MacKillop.
52 students competed in the District Athletics on Tuesday 6th. All competed to the best of their abilities. Well done to our team. Some will progress to the next level of competition which is Division Athletics in September. Those children and families will be notified.
Another round of the Winter Sports was held today. It was a home game played against Korumburra Primary School at Mary MacKillop College.
Thank you to P & F for organising and running another successful Mother's Day Stall. Your enthusiasm and committment to our school is very much appreciated. We did have a few issues with children not receiving gifts. This was because the incorrect class had been chosen for that child. Please ensure that you have your children's class details correct.
A reminder that Sibling enrolments are now open. We are starting to look at class numbers for 2026. If you have a 2026 Foundation student, please collect an enrolment form and return the completed form to school as soon as possible.
OPEN MORNING - During Catholic Education week we will be holding an Open Morning. This will be on Friday 23rd May from 9am - 10.50am. Everyone is welcome. If you know of anyone that would like to attend who is thinking of enrolling in 2026 please let them know about this open morning.
A reminder that there is a school closure on Thursday 15th May.
Today, year 7 2026 student placement application for placement to secondary college forms were sent home with your grade 6 child. Please return these forms by next Friday, 16th May. Please note that this IS NOT an enrolment form for your chosen college. You will need to obtain an enrolment form form your chosen secondary college. If you are UNDECIDED, you are still required to return the form on Friday 16th. Fill it out and put undecided on the form. If no decision is reached, the undecided forms will be sent onto your nearest Secondary College.
Have a lovley weekend and we wish all our mother's, guardians, carers and the special women in our lives a very happy Mother's Day. We will see you all refreshed and ready to go on Monday.
