School Saving Bonus

USING THE SCHOOL SAVING BONUS TO PAY FOR EVENTS IN COMPASS

Compass has introduced an option to show School Saving Bonus Activity (SSB) balances in Events for families to choose as a payment option. The school will be doing regular exports from the school accounts into Compass to reflect up to date balances. We will liaise with parents if there is a discrepancy and endeavour to keep family accounts up to date.

The Victorian Government is delivering the School Saving Bonus (SSB) – a one-off support of $400 for eligible Government School students from Prep to Year 12 in 2025. 

The SSB helps families cover the cost of uniforms, excursions, activities and more.

The Department of Education has established a dedicated contact centre to support the SSB. The contact centre can be reached by: 

• completing the School Saving Bonus enquiry form 
• calling 1800 338 663, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm on weekdays.

CSEF

Camps, Sports and Excursion Funds (CSEF) is another financial support for families who have an eligible active Commonwealth Health Care Card. Any family who received CSEF last year will automatically have their Health Care Card validated to receive the funds this year.  If you have recently received an eligible Health Care Card and would like to apply for CSEF, please contact the school for an application form. Students over 16 who have their own Health Care Card can also apply for CSEF by filling in a form. Forms are attached below, or ask at the office for a form.
