National Careers Week
National Careers Week is from the 12th to 18th May – this is a great opportunity to start a conversation with your student about career and future planning! Career development is a lifelong process – it involves gaining and using the skills and knowledge needed to plan and make informed decisions about education, training, and work. Everyday decisions and priorities affect career development, and parents and carers are a key influencer in a student’s decision making. Are you currently in Year 11 or 12 and planning to apply to University in Victoria? Senior students and parent/carers of senior students are encouraged to sign up for updates from the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC). VTAC is an independent shared admissions service facilitating access to tertiary education and further study opportunities and pathways for learners in Victoria and beyond. VTAC supports young people, professionals and learners of any age and at any stage of life to connect with further study to achieve their learning aspirations, professional growth, and dream careers. All students looking to apply for Victorian based university places will need to be familiar with VTAC.

Local Snowsports Jobs
Falls Creek Resort – open to candidates aged between 15-17.
We are seeking local advanced skiers and snowboarders who have availability to work with us over the July School holidays and then weekends over winter. Successful candidates will be asked to complete their APSI Level 1 Ski or Snowboard and work as a Junior Snowsports Instructing Assistant to work under the supervision of a member of our certified instructor team.
The APSI 3-day course and 1-day exam is covered by the Snowsports school and due to begin from the 15th June 2025.
We will also consider applicants wanting to work with as a Junior Snowsports Day Attendant in our kids centres for those looking for casual work as a kids attendant, food prep, cleaning, learning environment set up and other assisting duties. This may be ideal for candidates who are not confident in completing their APSI Level 1 but still want work over the school holidays and weekends.
AMPA Experience Day
We have four dedicated Experience Day events planned:
- Dance - Monday July 7th @ 9am
- Music Theatre - Wednesday July 9th @1pm
- Classical Music & Music Composition - Monday July 14th @ 1pm
- Contemporary Music & Music Production - Thursday July 17th @ 1pm
During these free events, attendees will have the chance to sit in on classes, workshops, Q&A sessions and meet AMPA's friendly faculty and students.

Year 7-12 VCE Success & UCAT Seminar Day

This seminar is designed to equip students with expert strategies, insights, and the motivation to excel in their VCE studies and get into Medicine. It’s a fantastic chance for them to gain guidance from leading academics and set themselves up for academic success.
There are two sessions:
- 9:00am - 10:00am - Year 7 - 12 | Secrets to Acing the VCE
- 10:00am - 11:00am - Year 7 - 12 | How I Achieved 99+ ATAR and got into Medicine
Additionally, for students preparing for the UCAT, we’d love to introduce you to the Beginner's Guide to UCAT- an essential resource to help students navigate the exam with confidence.
