Year 2

Education Week began—what a brilliant day!

On the 19th of May, we shouted, "Hooray!"

From 2C, 2B, and of course, 2A,

We welcomed our families in a warm, fun way.

To kick things off, what a treat we had planned—

A Maths Morning where learning was simply grand!

We puzzled and played, all thinking with flair,

With strategy, logic, and numbers to spare.

The students took charge, with confidence bright,

Teaching their grown-ups—it was quite a sight!

We played Snuggle Number and Knockout too,

With Place Value fun to name a few...

Mastermind made us all stop and think,

While dice rolled in doubles, quicker than a blink!

We raced to 100, our sums were precise,

And Snap had us shouting each number out twice!

“Get Out of My House!” brought a giggle or three,

As math skills were sharpened with great energy.

The classroom was buzzing, the spirit was high,

With laughter and learning that soared to the sky.

It warmed all our hearts, every smile and cheer,

A joyful reminder why learning is dear!
