Classroom Learning with 2J

The grade 2's have just started to look at money in our mathematics lessons. So far, we have learnt to identify all the different Australian coins and notes and understand the value of each one. This week we did a 'money grab' where students took a handful of coins and worked on adding them up to get a total amount. It was great to see 2J challenging themselves with adding dollars and cents then drawing the amounts.
