The students have been incredibly focused and engaged in their learning this term! Their enthusiasm and commitment to each subject have been wonderful to see, and they continue to impress with their curiosity and dedication.

In reading, we have been exploring the classic book *Matilda* as a class. The students have enjoyed delving into Roald Dahl’s whimsical storytelling, discussing key themes, and analyzing characters. This has sparked great conversations and has helped develop deeper comprehension and a love for reading.

In writing, we’ve been working on both narratives and speeches, encouraging students to express themselves creatively and persuasively. They have been developing their storytelling skills, crafting imaginative tales, and learning how to structure compelling speeches. Their ability to bring their ideas to life has been inspiring!

Our mathematics lessons have been centered around fractions, specifically learning about halves, quarters, and eighths. Additionally, we have been strengthening our skills in addition and subtraction, working on strategies to solve problems efficiently. The students have been practicing these concepts through hands-on activities and engaging challenges, building confidence and fluency in their calculations.

One of the highlights of the term was our excursion to Scienceworks, where students had the chance to further investigate the fascinating world of weather. They explored different weather phenomena, engaged with hands-on exhibits, and expanded their scientific knowledge in a fun and interactive way.

As we continue this term, we encourage families to support their children by discussing their learning experiences and celebrating their achievements. Thank you for being part of this wonderful journey—we look forward to more exciting learning adventures ahead!
