Education Week

The theme for this year, 'Celebration of Cultures', highlights the rich cultural tapestry of Victoria's School communities. During the week every student at DPS took part in a number of activities that showcased the diverse backgrounds of students and staff.
These included:
- My Family Story: Students wrote a short piece describing their family's background, traditions and what makes it special to them.
- Global Games: Students took part in fun and active children's games from around the world, celebrating different cultures through play.
- STEM Challenge: Students collaborated in small groups to design and build 'The Next Big Thing' to add to the Australian landscape.
- Open Morning: Parents were invited into the classroom to share in their child’s learning.
- Celebration of Foods: Students brought in a plate of food celebrating their culture to share with their class.
A big thank you to all of the parents and families for taking the time to organise and bring in such wonderful plates of food to share, donating materials for the STEM Challenge and attending the Open Morning and school assembly. Without your support, the days and weeks like we've just had don't happen.
