Cross Country Results

Well done to all students who took part in the Interhouse Cross Country Carnival last Thursday! The event saw students from across year levels give their all, navigating the course with determination and great sportsmanship. Whether aiming for a podium finish or simply challenging themselves to complete the race, every participant contributed to a wonderful atmosphere on the day.

It was great to see strong support from peers and staff on the sidelines, and the energy and enthusiasm from all Houses made the carnival a memorable way to kick off Term 2.

Congratulations to O’Connor House, who took out the overall win and topped the Senior School results, and to Cowan House, who claimed the honours in the Junior School.

Music Big Day In – A Huge Success!

On Monday 28 April our Music Big Day In was an unforgettable event filled with music, food and plenty of fun!

This year’s event saw Year 7–12 students from a range of College ensembles come together for a day of workshops, performances and collaboration. We were fortunate to have two outstanding guest facilitators lead workshops that inspired and challenged our students:

  • Mr Philip Everal from WAAPA led a session on performance and musicianship, bringing his expertise to the day.
  • Mr Michael McCarthy, a renowned choral director, led an engaging choral workshop, sharing his wealth of experience with our students.

We were thrilled to welcome our Junior School Choir members, who had the privilege of attending a special choral workshop with Annette McKerrow from Iona Presentation College. It was a superb opportunity for our younger students to join in and enjoy a fun, music-filled afternoon, singing together and preparing new repertoire for Term 2.

Over the day students participated in a range of engaging activities that explored different aspects of music, including minimalism, graphic scores and performance techniques. The event also featured a delicious morning tea and lunch, providing the perfect energy boost to keep everyone engaged and inspired!

The Music Big Day In was a wonderful celebration of our talented students, and we look forward to future events where we can continue to foster a love of music, creativity and collaboration.

Thank you to all the students, teachers and guest facilitators who made the day such a success. We can't wait to see where this inspiration takes us next!
