Year 10 Outdoor Environmental Studies

On the 24th April Ms Studd's Year 10 Outdoor Environmental Studies went to Queenscliff for a snorkelling and fish count trip.

They explored the underwater world, spotting different fish and learning how marine ecosystems work. The excursion helped them understand why Marine Parks are important and how they help protect ocean life.

On the 7th and 9th May Ms Wyatt's Year 10 Outdoor Environmental Studies students went Mountain biking Anglesea Bike Park and Walking & Rock Pooling at Urquharts Bluff.

These activities are designed to challenge students and develop resilience, teamwork and communication as well as their awareness of the environment and community around them.

Year 11 VET Sport & Recreation

Our Year 11 VET Sport and Recreation students recently took part in their first aid practical assessment, focusing on CPR.

The students showed great focus and effort as they worked through real-life scenarios.

Year 10 Science

Ms Zimball's year 10 science classes have been working on a chemistry unit involving a prac to investigate how the electron configurations of different metals can produce distinctive flame colours.

In the photo Noah R. they are testing copper sulfate which turns the flame green.

Model United Nations

On Thursday 15th May SCSC students , along with students from around Geelong, spent the day at Geelong High for the Model United Nations day.

The day simulates the UN general Assembly and runs according to UN protocols. Students get to represent countries from around the world and step into the shoes of a countries ambassador to the UN for a day. A fantastic experience for students and staff.
