Assembly

Welcome to our last assembly for the year!

This year has been a particularly eventful one, with the completion of our new building, and we are all enjoying using our new multi-purpose building, offices, canteen, pathways and green spaces.

As a whole school, we've enjoyed special events such as dress up days and Book Week, music and dance performances, school plays, the Exhibition night and presenting our learning at assemblies.

Some of us have spent time on camp in Melbourne or Wilsons Prom, or had fun in the snow, participating in skiing or snowbaording and competing in other sporting events.  There have also been opportunities to speak on the radio, learn to skateboard and to visit and perform at Lakeview Kindergarten and Kiewa Valley House.

In the classroom, some students have been busy delving into the world of science, conducting experiments, digging up dinosaur bones and making marble runs.  While others have participated in the annual Writer's Competition, shared learning in buddy programs, shown leadership in running sports activities, competed in Maths challenges and competitions, designed, built and marketed Tiny Homes, or made bread and grown and harvested their own mushrooms.

None of this could take place without the combined efforts of our staff, who have worked tirelessly throughout the year to provide our students with so many great learning opportunities and experiences.

Thank you also to the many volunteers that have supported our school over the year.  There are so many things that we simply couldn't do without your support, so thank you for all the time you have given to assist with our school's learning programs.

Each Tuesday and Thursday, we have also continued to enjoy the privilege of having a breakfast program in the school.

Along with the teams from Food Share and Food Bank, this has been made possible with the help of Deirdre, OSHC and many volunteers from Red Cross and our broader community.  There is no doubt that this is a highlight in the school week, along with the additional fruit platters for the classroom, which are also greatly apprieciated.
