Teaching & Learning  

It has been a wonderful term of learning and we have seen some pleasing progress results across the school.  We have been revising our English units of work, aligning our planning with evidence based programs ensuring explicit instruction and timely feedback. Our Education Support officers in the classroom do an amazing job of implementing adjustments to instruction to meet individual student needs and I thank them for all their hard work.  

We have implemented a new support program this year for struggling Year 3 - 4 students in literacy.  We have called this program: Rapid Reading and it provides the students with opportunity to practise learnt phonics skills, building on our existing PLD program which is implemented across the school.   Our tutor, Laura Davies continues to work with our struggling Year 1 - 2 students to provide additional literacy support.
