Year 7
It has been a great start to your high school journey, Year 7. You have all managed to settle in at Evans High with ease in Term 1, which has been wonderful to see. It has been a pleasure to get to know each and every one of you, along with your hobbies and interests, and to celebrate your achievements thus far. I am looking forward to seeing your progress and achievements in Term 2 and throughout the rest of your school journey. Have a wonderful and safe holiday. I look forward to hearing about your break in Term 2!!
Year 8
Congratulations on a great start Year 8! I hope that you have enjoyed this exciting journey filled with new experiences, friendships, and opportunities for growth. Keep embracing each day with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a positive attitude. Remember, every challenge is a chance to learn. Make the most of your time here, explore your interests, and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Have an amazing holiday, and good luck with your Half-Yearly Examinations. My tips: check Google Classroom regularly, revise your notes and speak with your teacher.
Year 9
I can't believe Year 9 is already a third of the way through their high schooling - how time flies! Watching you grow, overcome challenges, and mature into the young people you are today has been incredibly rewarding. I’m so proud of your journey so far, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll go on to do.
Year 10
Term 1 has been a jam packed and exciting term for Year 10. They have competed in the swimming and cross country carnival where we had some very impressive results. Year 10 have also started to think about their future pathways with many students accepted into TAFE courses to give them a taste of future industries they might like to join. Next term promises to be even more exciting as we think about subject selections for their senior years. I would like to wish all of those who celebrate Easter a very happy Easter and to all of our wonderful year 10 families a very safe and relaxing break.
Year 11
Year 11, I would like to congratulate you on all the effort you have put into your studies so far this year. Term two and three will be your Year 12 content for your current subjects. This is where every result will count towards your HSC marks and/or your ATAR. Please be as organised as you possibly can, and put in all the effort you can to achieve your absolute best. Good luck with your Year 12 part of your studies. Have a safe holiday and see you back in two weeks (on Wednesday 30th April).
