Year 9 Scuba & Snorkelling
Year 9 Sport Studies Scuba Diving & Snorkelling
Our Sport Studies class were lucky enough to have a go at snorkelling and scuba diving at the Oasis in Wagga on Friday.
We were taught the basics of snorkelling first and most of us mastered it pretty quickly. We were then taught about all of the necessary equipment required for scuba diving and how to use it safely. We learnt how to set everything up ourselves and struggled to lift the tanks of air. Once in the water we went through a series of tasks with our instructor, including performing handstands and making human pyramids at the bottom of the diving pool.
Some of us found scuba diving a bit scary but the majority of us thought it was heaps of fun. Thanks to Mrs Sergeant for taking us.
