Careers
Hello parents /guardians and community members,
As the academic year draws to a close, I reflect on an incredibly busy and rewarding year in the careers office. I am incredibly proud of all our graduating class of 2024 who are all well on their way in their post school pathways, be that University, TAFE, Apprenticeships, Traineeship, Employment and possibly some travel and rest. All graduates can be proud of achieving their HSC and the completion of a long school journey.
I wish to take this opportunity to extend my sincere gratitude to all our amazing local employers for all their support this year with the many work experience placements this year. Once again, your commitment in providing our school and students with real-world employment experiences allows our students to build their confidence, their skills and knowledge and to experience the amazing opportunities we have on our doorstep. Thank you all for all your support in 2024!
I wish all students, families, community partners and host employers a merry Christmas and happy and peaceful holiday season.
Congratulations Year 12 Graduates of 2024 – HSC Results and ATARs!
Well done Seniors & Graduates on your HSC results released today! For some of you it was an early wake up text (some at 4am, 5:35am and so on), and for me the phone started at 6:03am! Any students who wish to seek advice, clarification, support, guidance on Uni courses and anything relating to your HSC Result or ATAR’s, please call or email me!
UAC – You have till 11:59pm tonight to update your UAC preferences for the next round of UAC offers which will be released on 23rd December.
ATAR + Adjustment Points = Selection Rank.
Always list your dream course at the top of your preferences in UAC applications!
Don’t forget that many of you who have received ATAR’s today, you may also be eligible for various adjustment points, such as; Rural Remote (5pts) automatically receive this, Distance Ed, High Achievers in a subject (Band 6,5), Students with Disabilities, Students who have experienced any category of disadvantage or disruption. So, for many of you, you can add at least 5pts to your ATAR for being rural student and this may help you get into your preferred course.
Students who are having trouble accessing your results or need advice:
Accessing Your Students Online Account with NESA
You will need your NESA/Student ID number. You can ring me if you need to obtain this. NESA can be contacted on Phone: 1300 13 83 23 from 8am on Wednesday. They will be busy, but you will be able to gain assistance. You will need to speak with them directly as they cannot provide your information to anyone else! So, do not have your parent ring on your behalf. If you forget your PIN you can access the forgot my pin on https://studentsonline.nesa.nsw.edu.au/forgot
UAC - ATAR help (If ATAR Eligible contact UAC as they create the ATAR not NESA):
Wednesday 18 December: ATAR and IBAS release
9am: We will send students an SMS or email with a link to log in and download their ATAR Advice Notice. They will need their Year 12 student number and UAC PIN to log in.
11.59pm: Deadline for students to change their course preferences for consideration in the December Round 2 offers on 23 December.
Next steps: Of course, once they have their ATAR, students may ask 'what happens now?' So we've put together a step-by-step guide on what to do once you've got your ATAR.
CredFolio: NSW HSC students can sign up to our free digital wallet, CredFolio. They'll be able to store their ATAR there and they'll have the option to share it with you or others via a secure link. How to sign up to CredFolio
