Celebrating the End of Another Incredible Year at Truganina P-9 College

As we reach the end of the school year, it’s time to reflect on the achievements, growth, and milestones we’ve celebrated together as a school community. This time of year is particularly special as we acknowledge the hard work and perseverance of all our students, staff, and families.

For our Year 6 and Year 9 students, this moment marks the end of an important chapter in their journey. For Year 6s, they are transitioning into their secondary education and our Year 9 students are graduating from Truganina College to commence their senior secondary education. I know that you will join me in wishing both cohorts well. They have grown immensely, not only in their academics but also as individuals ready to take on new challenges. In 2025, this is a special occasion for us as a college, as our Year 9 students are the first cohort to travel through the school from Foundation to Year 9.

In the last few weeks, I have been asked many times what my parting message to our Year 9 students is. My key message to our graduating Year 9 students has been simple - “Dream Big.” No matter how challenging life may become, dreams are what guide us forward. Dreams inspire us to grow, push boundaries, and work toward the future we imagine for ourselves. Our college motto: Inspiring excellence in learning to Believe, Achieve, Succeed also reflects the qualities we encourage our students to carry with them throughout their lives and as they strive in their learning.

Looking Ahead

As we close the chapter on this school year, we encourage all our students—whether they’re moving up to the next year level or graduating into new opportunities—to continue dreaming big. There will be challenges along the way, but with belief, determination, and resilience, everything is possible.

To all our families, thank you for your ongoing support throughout the year. You are an integral part of our community, and we are so grateful for the role you play in your child’s learning and growth.

As we wrap up another successful school year, we extend our gratitude to all our staff for their unrelenting dedication to our students. We are incredibly fortunate to have an exceptional teaching team who are not only outstanding educators but also deeply committed to the growth and success of every student.

Alongside our teachers, our remarkable education support team plays a vital role in ensuring that the diverse needs of all our students are met with care and compassion.

We are also thrilled to share some exciting news: our full teaching team is already in place for 2025! As an outstanding College with exceptional results, we attract and retain high-quality educators who are passionate about providing the very best for our students.
