College News
How quickly has the year gone, it is amazing! This is our final newsletter for 2024 so firstly I'd like to send my well wishes to everyone in the Edenhope College learning community and to the community in general. I wish you and your family a happy healthy Christmas season.
We have had another productive and busy year here at Edenhope College. Lots of student engagement opportunities in the classroom and outside the classroom.
We still have the lingering excitement of our Future Funding project build which we are looking to start in July 2025. This will help our ongoing approach to student engagement and wellbeing with a completely refurbished school learning environment.
In 2025 I will be sharing the principal position with another staff member who will be working 3 days, I will be working 3 days and the middle day will be the crossover day. The person that wins the position will be working in conjunction with our learning specialist Paris Hardwick to oversee teaching and learning within our learning environment. They will also handle day-to-day processes that come up whilst on their three days. I will have more of a focus in the student wellbeing and engagement area. I think the two different areas marry up really well together and I'm excited for where this can take our learning environment. I will be looking to name the successful applicant for the job share position before the end of our school year.
There have been many fantastic achievements by students across academics, the arts and general activities inside and outside the school. Many of those we will celebrate at our awards evening Tuesday the 17th of December. It would be great to see as many students and families there on the evening, so come along and celebrate the year that's quickly coming to conclusion.
Just a reminder to families that our reporting system is having a makeover. We have sent information out advising that the end of year reports will look different. We also will be looking to communicate more information during the terms to students and parents with the final semester report really just being a visual of their progress. We will survey families whilst we are changing the reporting system to get feedback so that we have parent and student voice involved in the process.
Finally, I would like to thank all the parents, volunteers and our staff for your efforts and your ongoing support for students in our learning environment. Below is a supplied morning tea (supplied by our VCE Food students), to those previously mentioned people.
