Our Amazing Community

School Council

I would like to thank Mary Sheargold and Nat Northey for leading School Council in 2024.  Thank you also to Sonia Hogan for fulfilling the `role of Treasurer and ensuring our finances are in order and meet all regularity requirements.

Members of our School Council include:

Mary Sheargold, Nat Northey, Sonia Hogan, Angus Ross, Caitlin Saati, Chris Esmonde, Beth Lawrence, Nicole Grant, Peter McOrist, Fabian Marrone and Rachel Clark.

We co-opted two community members to School Council this year in Fabian Marrone and Rachel Clark.

I would like to thank Mary Sheargold for the ongoing support she has provided to me throughout the year.  Mary has always been on the other end of the phone when I needed advice or counsel. I greatly respect her professionalism and her willingness to share her knowledge freely, ensuring that all policies meet the legal requirements.

I would also like to thank Peter McOrist, who will leave our council at the end of the year as Maddie departs for secondary school. Earlier this year, Mike Fitzpatrick resigned from our council.

Parent Engagement Committee

As a result of our co-opted parent members, we were able to establish a Parent Engagement Committee. Two staff members, Nicole Rainsbury and Naomi Holt joined this team also. This team of talented adults have developed many new initiatives that are currently being rolled out to ensure families learn about our school and that we are a ‘School for Everyone, Anywhere’.

Parents & Friends

Congratulations to all members of the P&F, a team of energetic and enthusiastic parents who continue to grow in strength, engagement, and numbers.  Our P&F’s, under the leadership of Natalie Northey, is not just about raising funds for items that add value to our students’ education but is a key component ensuring parent and family engagement with the Beaumaris North Primary School community is cohesive and inclusive.

Our Parents & Friends association provides an important vehicle for friendship and support for all parent members of our community.  Their aim is not only to raise funds but to initiate events where parents can get together, meet others and generally have fun.

Thank you, Nat, your organisational and planning expertise is greatly respected by all who are fortunate enough to work beside you.

To the whole team at Beaumaris North Primary School, thank you for who you are, what you have done, and for demonstrating what an amazing professional, caring and dedicated team of staff we have.

Volunteers

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your invaluable contributions in all the various roles you play at our school. Your support is truly appreciated and plays a vital part in creating the strong, vibrant community that makes our school so special.

Thank you!
