The Year That Was
2024
A Year to Remember at BNPS
What a wonderful and exciting year it has been! 2024 was filled with remarkable achievements, joyous moments, and incredible milestones for both our students and staff. Together, we’ve celebrated learning, growth, and community spirit in ways that truly reflect the heart of our school.
As we approach the close of another remarkable school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on our achievements, celebrate our growth, and express my heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support of our school community.
Looking Back at Our Year
This year has been filled with memorable moments. From the vibrant energy of our first day back to the joyous celebrations of our academic and extracurricular successes, each day has reminded us of the resilience, creativity, and dedication of our students and staff.
The 2024 school year was one in which the bookends of the year commenced with the excitement of our first Fete in six years and ended with both the Year 6 Mega Market and whole school concert.
In term one, everyone counted down the weeks until the big Fete Day, and our community spirit reached a new level of excitement. Natalie Northey led our fete committee of dedicated and committed parents who managed this special whole school event.
We look forward to the proceeds of our fete being used to re-surface much of our school oval. I would like to thank the oval sub-committee of Angus Ross, Chris Edmonde and Natalie Northey for leading this project. I would also like to thank the parents that have freely shared their knowledge and skills in this area.
One of the highlights from the final term of the year was the Year 6 Mega Market. The Year 6 students transformed our school grounds into a place filled with decorated stalls. The excitement was clearly evident as our entire student body roamed freely in this fun-filled environment. The children were so excited that they could spend their money on whatever they wanted without mum or dad being with them!
Acknowledging Our Community
I extend my deepest gratitude to our incredible teachers and staff, whose commitment to excellence inspires our students daily.
To our parents and carers, thank you for being our partners in education and for entrusting us with the privilege of nurturing your children.
To our students, you are the heart of our school, and your hard work, kindness, and curiosity continue to make us proud.
Looking Ahead
As we prepare for the new year, we are excited about the opportunities and plans on the horizon.
Thank You and Happy Holidays
As the end of the school year approaches, it is almost time for rest and relaxation away from the rigours of school. Excitement is mounting for our students as the festivities of Christmas commence. I do hope that the Christmas break is a time when families can come together and spend valuable time together.
I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and I look forward to seeing everyone in 2025.
Kind Regards
Sherril
