Grade 3 | Blackwood

This term in Grade 3 Blackwood we have been completing a book study on Charlotte’s Web. We have learned lots of new vocabulary and reinforced our knowledge around the structure required when writing a narrative text. 

We have enjoyed learning about Literary Devices such as anthropomorphism, foreshadowing, using appositives, symbolism, similes as well as compare and contrast. 

We have been able to connect our book study with Science and Art where we have investigated life cycles and drawn intricate sketches of spiders living in their webs. We loved the story of Charlotte’s Web and all of the new learning we have gained through engaging with this book.
