Grade 5 | Huon

CLEVER CLASS

This term, Grade 5 students have been learning about animal adaptations and how to write information texts. Each student has chosen an animal to research and is learning how its structural and behavioural adaptations enable it to survive in its environment. So far, students have written a draft introduction paragraph for their report.

They are also learning to research effectively by using multiple trusted sources and summarising the information in their own words. Over the next few weeks, students will continue to develop their reports by adding sections on their animal’s physical features, habitat, diet, and adaptations.

We’re looking forward to reading the finished reports and learning more about the fascinating animals they’ve been researching!
