Year 12 – Careers Information – Pathway support for 2026
Year 12 students should be viewing the Year 12 Teams (Careers) platform and Compass emails where the following information has been sent.
Open Days – July to September 2025 for universities, TAFE institutions and private providers.

It is important all year 12 students/parents read Compass emails as this
is the best way to communicate while students have exams or have
finished their studies. Karen Crawley will continue to communicate and
support students until the close of the school year.
VTAC support sessions have now concluded. Support is still available in classroom C3 at lunch during the year.
Do not forget to pay your account fee of $80 by 29/9/25 at 5.00 p.m. Thereafter the fee increases substantially.
Do not forget to complete an Equity scheme application (if you are eligible) or a Scholarship application by 10/10/25 5.00 p.m. Thereafter these schemes are closed.
Do not forget to keep looking at the Checklist requirements on your VTAC Home Page and complete these. This includes a Personal Statement by either 29/9/25 5.00 p.m. for early offers or otherwise 5/12/25 at 5.00 p.m.
The Checklist will be where the Nursing English Language Proficiency form is, where CASPER, UCAT and other pre-requisite requirements are listed.
You must also keep checking your VTAC “inbox” and your personal email provided to VTAC for any other requirements or information VTAC needs to advise you of.
Support for students wanting to apply for an Apprenticeship/Traineeship, Police Force, Defence Force, look for work or apply to institutions interstate or overseas will occur during the first two weeks of Term 4 or can be made via a one-on-one appointment with Karen Crawley at Karen.Crawley@education.vic.gov.au
Years 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 – Careers Information
Any student who has not yet completed a Career Action Plan in class during Semester 1, must come and see Mrs Crawley in C3s at the start of Term 4 to make an appointment. If you are unsure, please come and ask.
Year 10 Work Experience
Congratulations to all our massive cohort of year 10 students who completed their week of work experience! We are thrilled to have received positive reports from employers about the time you spent in the workplace, and we hope you found the experience valuable. Congratulations to those who gained ongoing work out of the experience and all our students should be proud of putting themselves out there in a working environment. This year our students completed work experience in a broad range of industry’s including Childcare, Council Services, Trades, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Retail and Hospitality. We would like to thank all our Employers who so generously offer their time and expertise to our students. We could not run the program without you and are grateful for the contribution you make to our students professional learning. Mrs Maddie McKeon
Year 11 VCE VM Students – Structured Workplace Learning Recognition (SWLR)
Important Date - All SWLR work experience forms (and accompanying Safe at Work Certificates, White Card or Working with Animals form) are due to Mrs. McKeon in C3s (Maddie.McKeon@education.vic.gov.au) by Friday 17th October, 2025 at 3:15pm. No extensions can be provided after this date. Any queries, please contact Mrs. McKeon or Mrs. Crawley in C3s.
Vocational Education and Training (VET)
VET in 2026
All senior students have now concluded their course counselling sessions and where required selected a VET (Certificate II or III course in schools) as part of their educational/year level program. To be enrolled in a VET course by the school, all students must have a USI number. Please provide this number to Amanda Komen at Amanda.Komen@education.vic.gov.au or Amy.Crawley@education.vic.gov.au as soon as possible, so that every effort can be made to secure your child’s place in their preferred course.

VCE VM – Year 11 and 12 2026 and your VET Course for 2026
If you are a VCE VM student in year 11 or 12 in 2026 and have not confirmed your VET course for next year, you must see Mrs Komen or Mrs Crawley in C3s during the first week of Term 4 to confirm a course placement.
