Year 12
'Push Limits, Embrace Growth and Make It Count'
It’s been a busy and exciting time for our Year 12 students, with plenty of achievements and memorable moments to celebrate.
Our Senior Boys Netball team gave a phenomenal performance at the State Finals, taking the game right down to the wire in double overtime. Though they narrowly missed the win, their determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship were on full display, making the school proud.
We also congratulate Hydee Dalton, who showcased her incredible talent as part of the Victorian State Schools Spectacular. Performing on such a stage is an outstanding achievement and a testament to her hard work and dedication.
Meanwhile, our VCE VM students enjoyed an exciting and educational excursion to the Melbourne Zoo, where they engaged with learning beyond the classroom while strengthening their connections as a group.
The lunchtime netball competition brought plenty of energy and friendly rivalry to the stadium, while the much-anticipated students versus staff soccer match created plenty of laughter, cheers, and bragging rights.
To mark the end of Term 3, the Year 12s hosted a lively Trivia Night. Teams enjoyed some healthy competition, pitting their general knowledge and random skills against one another. In the spirit of fun, the cohort dressed up in creative costumes and made the most of the occasion, showing that hard work and celebration can go hand in hand.
Around the Senior School, there’s a real buzz in the air as we approach the end of the year. Students are preparing for Valedictory celebrations, final SACs, practice exams (see timetable below), trivia nights, and study sessions, all marking the countdown to the end of their secondary school journey. It’s a busy but rewarding time, and the energy and enthusiasm of our Year 12 cohort continue to shine through.
We wish all our senior students the very best as they tackle their final challenges and remind all that this is a stressful time of year and it’s okay to be feeling the pressure.
However, it’s also important to get support when you need it. We encourage students in need of help to visit headspace.org.au or log on to eheadspace.org.au for online support and counselling. This is also a helpful resource for parents and carers to help support your young people through their exams.
