Principal's Report

Dear Families,
Our Athletics Sports Day was a huge success! The perfect weather set the scene for an exciting day filled with great sportsmanship and enthusiasm from all students. It was fantastic to see so many parents and grandparents cheering from the sidelines and sharing in the fun. The relays at the end of the day were certainly a highlight. A special thank you goes to the student helpers from Greater Shepparton Secondary College, whose energy and support ensured the day ran so smoothly. Congratulations to Hovell who was the winning house on the day.

FATHER’S DAY STALL
Our Father’s Day Stall was a great success, with students enjoying the chance to choose something special for their dads or special family member. A big thank you to all the families who kindly donated items for the stall and to those who volunteered their time to help on the day—your support made this event possible and very special for the children.
TATURA ATHLETICS
Students from Grade 3 to 6 will travel to Tatura next Monday to compete in the athletics sport's day against Tatura P.S and Sacred Heart. Buses will leave school promptly at 9am to enable the day to start on time and run on schedule.
RESPONSIBLE PET PROGRAM
On Monday, students from Foundation to Grade 2 will attend the The Responsible Pet Ownership primary school program. It is aimed at 5 to 12 year olds and has been delivered to over 1 million Victorian primary school children. It visits over 800 primary schools each year across the state. The program includes: a dog visit, which is always the highlight for students.
STARTING THE DAY
One of the simplest and most powerful ways we can support learning is by starting the day on time. When students arrive before the 8.55 music, they have time to settle in, connect with their classmates and be ready to go from the very beginning. Those first few minutes often include some of the most important teaching of the day, so being there really does make a difference. Thanks for your help!
Before and After School Supervision
A friendly reminder that students are supervised in the school yard from 8:45am (15 minutes before school begins) and in the afternoon from 3:15–3:30pm. Some families have been dropping children off at the swings in the youth space before school. While this is a fun way to start the morning, please remind your child to move into school promptly once the music starts to avoid being late for class.
If your child travels by bus, they are expected to come directly into the school grounds on arrival. Once students have entered the school grounds, they are not permitted to leave again to visit the swings before class.
AFL CLINIC
Our JSC leadership group and House Captains are organising an AFL Clinic for Tuesday 16th September. JSC would like to fundraise on this day and will be selling meat pies and sausage rolls for the day. Qkr! has been set up to purchase these items. Please order separately for each student to your cart before finalising order.
Have a lovely weekend,
Regards Filippa and Heather
