YEAR 8
Building Strong Connections
Head of Year 8
As we approach the end of the term, Year 8 students must continue to uphold the College’s expectations regarding uniform and personal presentation. This includes arriving each day in the correct uniform, keeping hairstyles neat and appropriate, and following the jewellery guidelines - limited to a watch and small, plain studs or sleepers.
These standards are in place across the College to ensure a consistent and respectful appearance and to reflect pride in being part of the St Mary’s community. Thank you for your continued support in reinforcing these expectations at home.
A reminder to all Year 8 students that laptops should always be carried in their protective laptop bags when moving between classes or bringing them to and from school. This is not only important for preventing accidental damage, but also a requirement for insurance purposes.
Thank you for helping us encourage students to take responsibility for their devices and ensure they remain in good working order, enabling students to learn effectively.
To order extra-curricular group photos taken on 18 and 19 August, please visit www.nqsp.com.au and use the Shoot Key: WSDP5W8Y.
Online ordering will remain open for 3 weeks.
Have you ever thought about being more involved in the life of our College? We’re currently inviting expressions of interest from parents and carers who’d like to join our College Board in 2026. It’s a great way to contribute your ideas, support our students and staff, and help shape our school’s direction. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, we’d love to hear from you!
Please feel free to get in touch smw.principal@cns.catholic.edu.au for more information or to submit your expression of interest by Friday, 12 September.
