From the Principal

Vogliamo Sentire la Vostra Voce! We want to hear from you!
20 of our 242 families got in nice and early and have already completed the 2025 Parent/ Caregiver/ Guardian Opinion Survey; grazie mille! This information gives us a really useful snapshot of what we’re doing well and how we can keep improving, and it’s important to us that we hear from as many families as possible so we can best meet the changing needs of our diverse school community. The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete and can be accessed here until September 19th. (PIN #684041)
We’re a school that encourages and values feedback from our community, and my door is always open. Please don’t hesitate to reach out at any point in time if you have any concerns or suggestions you’d like to share.
Working Bee Gratitude
Che Successo!
Un grandissimo grazie to everyone who braved the rain and wind to join our Working Bee last weekend; what an effort! Despite the wild weather, our amazing volunteers planted and weeded, doing a great job freshening up the garden beds. They also installed 300 beautiful tiles hand-painted by our talented students in the L’area Degli Amici and mixed and poured 50 bags of cement at the foot of the decking to create a solid foundation for our upcoming mosaic masterpiece.
The transformation of this space is incredible, and the students are loving it. Feel free to pop by and see the progress for yourself – and keep an eye out for our grand opening in Term 4, when all the finishing touches will be in place! And a standing ovation for Anna and Eileen - Anna was the maestro behind the symphony of tiles, and Eileen was the campionessa of the Brunswick bird community with the installation of our nesting boxes which have also now been installed.
Always Was Always Will Be
On Monday, Dot, Gerome, Marcel and Seb represented BSPS’ Reconciliation Action Team at the Hume Merri-bek Principal’s Forum, presenting a heart-felt Acknowledgement of Country in Italian and English. They spoke with confidence and poise before the gathering of 150 or so principals and Department delegates from primary and secondary schools across our region. We were so proud of them! It was our very own RAT that started this tradition at Network meetings last year, and now schools take turns to send student representatives along to commence each agenda in this way. Bravo!
