St Simon's Parents' Association

Considering joining the Parents' Association?
The Parent Association (PA) Committee is a group of parent's who have children at St Simon's and volunteer their time to work in cooperation with the principal and school staff to contribute to the wellbeing of the school community. We are brought together by the common goal of wanting to be involved in making our children's educational experience the best that it can possibly be. Our aim is to raise funds, host social events and support the teachers and students.
Without the PA and the generosity of parents and their time, many of these events would not be able to proceed. Some of the fundraisers and events we have held are:
* Mother's/Father's Day stall * Pie drive
* School Disco * Trivia nights
* Family Movie Nights * Food service days (ie Sushi / Pizza / Toasty Truck)
* Colour walkathon
We are always looking for new members to join our PA committee as general members. We meet once a month for about 1hour to discuss events and ideas and it is not compulsory to attend. We shift between online and in person meetings and meet at 7pm.
If being on the committee is not your thing but you are still keen to lend a hand for our events, you may want to consider the "general helpers parent list" which is a list of parents that want to be contacted for our events and can chose if that event day or time works for them. There is no obligation or commitment at all. If you are interest in either of the above, please email us at sspa@ssrowville.catholic.edu.au.
Please remember that without the help of parents, these events will not be able to happen. It is a great way to meet other parents and participate in your children's school life all while having fun doing so.
