Looking Ahead to Term 4 and Beyond
While the final weeks of Term 3 are always filled with colour and excitement — from Footy Colours Day to Maths Games Day, Sustainability Festivals, District Athletics and a whole host of other events that enrich and extend our lucky students, we’re also looking ahead to what promises to be a very full and important Term 4.
One of the key pieces of work next term will be the preparation for our 2025 School Review. Every government school in Victoria participates in a review every four years, and this is a valuable opportunity for us to reflect on what we’ve achieved and to set clear priorities for the future.
Part of this process involves the Pre-Review Self-Evaluation (PRSE), where we consider our data, our practices, and, importantly, the perspectives of students, staff, and families. At our School Council meeting tonight we will table and discuss this important document which looks back over the last four years at SKiPPS and sets the context for the School review discussions and the agenda setting for the next four years.
Thank you to those who have already taken the time to complete the Department’s Parent/Carer Opinion Survey or our own school-based survey. Your input will directly shape the way we evaluate our progress and plan for the years ahead.
Next term also brings some of the most memorable milestones in the school year: our Foundation 2026 transition program begins, and our Year 6s start preparing for graduation. These are moments that capture the beautiful cycle of school life — welcoming new families just as we prepare to farewell our student leaders.
As always, I am grateful for the way our community supports and partners with us in every step of the journey. Term 4 will be a time of celebration, reflection, and looking forward with ambition.
