Group 6

We have had a busy term in Group 6! Renee and I are so proud of everyone’s hard work! Everyone has grown so much in the last nine weeks and should celebrate their accomplishments.
Students have been enjoying our weekly swimming sessions with Fiona, where they work on water confidence and swimming skills such as blowing bubbles and kicking their feet. A highlight of our term was the ‘Dr. Nincompoop’ puppet show incursion. Students enjoyed interacting with the puppets and listening to the songs. Group 6 thoroughly enjoyed Literacy and Numeracy Week where we focused on the book “Rainbow Fish” and completed crafts and activities. We have started focusing on Science and Technologies this semester and students have shown great interest in our STEAM activities. We have explored different materials like shaving foam, water, and salt dough blocks with treasure inside. We have also learned about our senses through exploration. In technology classes students have explored different technologies including Lego blocks, Indibots, coding games, and virtual reality games.
Renee and I wish you a safe and healthy holiday, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the students in Term 4!
Thank you, families, for all of your hard work and dedication,
Mackenzie and Renee
