eSafety Week at WEPS

eSafety Week: Helping Our Students Be Safe Online

As part of eSafety Week, our Year 3–6 students will take part in the Be an eSafe Kid webinars. These sessions give children the chance to learn about:

  • Recognising safe and unsafe behaviours online
  • Making strong choices, like creating secure passphrases
  • Knowing what to do and who to talk to if something doesn’t feel right

The webinars use real-life scenarios to help students think about how to respond in different situations, and they encourage children to share what they learn at home with their families.

If you or your child ever come across something that doesn’t feel safe online—such as unkind messages, unwanted contact, or content that isn’t age-appropriate—it’s important to make a report at esafety.gov.au/report.

When families report, eSafety can see which issues are starting to affect children most and respond in ways that make online spaces safer. This helps everyone. It keeps children safe. And it reminds us all to think carefully about what we are doing online.

See it. Report it. Keep kids safe.
