Accessibility Works
Digging and concreting started this week, which will provide an upgrade to a number of paths, ramps, gutters/drains and the accessible bathroom. There will also be an accessible car park created at the front of the school. While there will be some disruption, most of it will be outside the buildings and will be managed by fencing off sections, rather than whole areas at a time. I’d like to thank the staff and students for being understanding and flexible, especially this week when the original plans were changed to suit the weather.
Toilet Upgrades
Works on the toilet upgrades are planned to start in the first week of the holidays, with the existing toilet blocks being refurbished.
Disruptions to the running of the school are planned to be kept to a minimum, however, there will be some disruption to the flow of a day that can’t be avoided. We will notify staff and students when there are likely to be changes.
Please make sure you save the date for our Term 4 end of year celebration event!
Thursday 18th December.
6:00 – 7.30pm with tea/coffee afterwards.
More details to come.
This survey is open until the end of the term, Friday 19th September. I will send out reminder emails until the survey closes, so please keep an eye out. There have been no further responses this week, with a total of only 18 responses or 16% of our families contributing.
Families might be getting confused which survey this is because a couple of weeks ago, families were asked to complete a different survey, created by school, to receive some feedback about some strengths, areas of focus and celebrations from the last 4 years. This was to collect some extra data and will be used to help us plan and prepare for the Term 4 Review. Thanks to the people that completed that particular survey as it has helped to focus what we may look to work on over the next 4 years.
The last cycle of Progress Reports for this term will be available today in Compass. These reports monitor student learning habits and all students should be able to achieve a level of 3, the expected level. A fifth behaviour is assessed this cycle, being Home Study Habits, assessing habits relating to homework being completed and submitted on time. Please contact the teacher or Student Engagement Leader if you have any questions. Perhaps booking in for a Conference might be helpful to discuss your child’s progress.
Formerly Parent Teacher Interviews
Don’t forget to book in for our Term 3 Conferences, being held on Monday 15th September, from 4 – 7pm. This event provides families with the opportunity to talk to their child’s teachers and to engage with their learning at our school.
Bookings can be made through Compass.
Please call the office if you need assistance with this.
