Year 5

What’s Happening in Year 5 in May

Hi Year 5 community, we hope everyone has had a successful start to the term.

Year 5 students completed the Lead It incursion on Thursday the 30th of April. This was a very hands on day with all students involved exploring themes such as character traits we admire, understanding who you are and how to best work within a group. All students participated with great enthusiasm and should be proud of their efforts.

All year 5’s will be starting their leadership workshops starting with the Year 1’s on Monday in week 4. The leadership workshops include Art, Sport, Digital technology, sustainability and our Upstanders Program.

Interschool sport will begin in Week 4. Students should be excited to be representing Beaumaris PS once again against our neighbouring schools in a variety of different sports, or enjoying some fun games at BPS. Good luck to all teams!

What a fantastic first term our Year 6 students had last term! From musical auditions to interschool sport and school tours, students were involved in a wide range of exciting activities. They also enjoyed plenty of playtime with their Prep buddies. We hope everyone had a restful holiday and has returned refreshed and ready for the term ahead. We are looking forward to another fun-filled term, packed with new concepts, extended learning, and exciting opportunities.

Year 6 students have thoroughly enjoyed training for their Winter Interschool Sport. They have been developing their skills across a variety of sports and are looking forward to demonstrating their teamwork and sportsmanship both at school and against other local schools.
